VANCOUVER - 3 MAY

Today we are flying out to Vancouver. The trip was planned to visit our friend, Kristi, who was moving to Canada, and have not yet arrived that! As the flights were paid for, we decided to still go. Our morning started hectic with the flight from Atlanta delayed for half and hour. This really stressed us out as we have a bus booked that will take us from Vancouver to Whistler. The bus could only wait for us until a certain time as the highway closes during night for work on it (getting ready for the 2010 Winter Olympics). On arrival in Dallas we heard that our flight out was delayed with 30 minutes. This was not good, but we could still make it. In the end the flight was 2 hours late – we sat in the plane at the airport for more than an hour because of lightning alert! We now definitely missed the bus. There was no American Airlines staff to assist on the other side, so be booked an airport hotel and eventually got in bed at midnight.
